As the summer acquisition gets ready to make his Goodison Park debut, Everton boss Sean Dych eis excited about the idea of letting striker Beto unleash his ‘rawness’ on Arsenal.

The former Udinese striker, who cost £26 million to sign the Toffees in August, had two significant performances in South Yorkshire: one in the Carabao Cup at Doncaster and the other in the Toffees’ first Premier League point at Sheffield United.

The center-forward that home supporters have been clamouring for over the past 18 months is now about to be seen up close.

Dyche stated, “I think he’s added a different feel.”

He’s really fairly quiet, but the way he approaches things and trains shows that he has a great rawness about him so far and is eager to take on anything.

He is quite open-minded, and I believe he has demonstrated this in both his training and his results thus far.

The odd thing about football is that you want players to be polished, but you don’t want them to lose that raw edge, so we definitely want to give him the opportunity to improve on that.

I believe he will improve as a player, but he already has a certain amount of rawness and ambition. That’s a fantastic asset to have, especially when you enter the Premier League, in my opinion.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who has recovered from a face injury, and Beto may be placed together.

Following a series of exits after the Portuguese midfielder was linked with a move away, most notably to Turkey, whose transfer window has just ended, Dyche is also eager to incorporate Andre Gomes into the team.

The 30-year-old played last season on loan at Lille and has less than a year left on his deal.

Gomes last played for Everton in May 2022, but Dyche thinks he can still work into his plans.

He has sustained some regrettable but minor injuries, and he is aware that I want him to become healthy and that I want him to take part in our efforts, the man stated.

He has shown to be a very good football player, in my opinion, throughout the years.

The arrival of Arsenal will remind Dyche of one of his few bright moments, as the team’s 1-0 triumph in the equivalent game during his first season in command ended the team’s eight-match losing streak.

We were in good form and remained dedicated to the cause last season (against Arsenal). Every player’s nose was pointed in the correct way because it was a huge game and a significant moment at that time,’ he added.

“They were all playing dangerously.” What we desire is that. Every gamer should consistently engage in that.

“We want high performance levels and a strong work ethic, especially when playing teams like Arsenal.”

When the squad is strong and dedicated to the goal, “then we have our key movements.”
