Cammy Bell, a former Rangers goalkeeper, has cautioned Michael Beale that he “cannot afford” to lose any more games before the Christmas break.
Beale has been under great scrutiny at Ibrox following losses to PSV and Celtic previous to the international break.
The Gers have already fallen four points behind Celtic in the Scottish Premiership after failing to qualify for the Champions League group round.
With questions surrounding the management and the new players brought in, Bell, now a BBC analyst, believes Beale might be fired if the team suffers a defeat in the coming weeks.
“There’s no denying it; we expected a lot more from the other signings that have come in.” “They haven’t taken off yet,” he told R
The Gers have seven games in less than a month before the next international break, which means it’s make or break time for Beale.
A loss at McDiarmid Park this Saturday will almost certainly be Beale’s final game.

“During the international break, Michael Beale will have had time to reset, refresh and try to raise his performance levels.” But it needs to happen right away because he can’t wait any longer. He is under strain, and he is aware of it.
“He needs to win games between now and the winter break, and he probably can’t afford any more losses.” He’s spent a lot of money on these players, and now he needs them to prove it. He’s given them his trust, and they haven’t delivered.”
There is no longer any space for mistake.
Many will be shocked that Beale is still employed, but it now appears that he will be for the trip to St Johnstone on Saturday [16 September] at the very least.
Graham Potter and John Eustace have been connected with the role in recent weeks, but Beale remains in charge at Ibrox for the time being.
With a win in that game, the Rangers will have four home games in three competitions to properly kick-start their season.
Whatever happens, Beale’s future will become much clearer in the coming weeks.
In other Rangers news, a player who was at the focus of a transfer dispute this summer may now be kicking himself.
