As bizarre as it may seem, West Ham United are better off without Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice.
Declan Rice departed West Ham for Arsenal during the summer transfer window, and many Hammers supporters expected a difficult transition period as a result.

David Moyes, on the other hand, had a strategy and executed it flawlessly with the acquisitions of Edson Alvarez and James Ward-Prowse.
However, West Ham’s excellent record has been due to factors other than our new additions. Our playing style has also evolved.
Or, to put it another way, Moyes has retreated to what he knows best…
West Ham are officially the top team in the Premier League at one thing, which illustrates why we are better off without Declan Rice.
This season, the Hammers have certainly been more direct in their style. We are getting the ball into our forward players more faster, and as a result, they are shooting at goal much faster.
Prem Stat compiled a list of the clubs that have been the most clinical this season:
That demonstrates one thing to me: David Moyes’ squad has been significantly more incisive and direct since the departure of Declan Rice during the summer transfer window.
When he was with the Hammers, the 24-year-old slowed our play because every time one of his teammates touched the ball, the first thing they’d do was check up to see where he was.
The players’ initial thought is to get the ball forward as fast as possible on the counter.
Declan Rice is a terrific footballer, but as bizarre as it seems, I believe West Ham would be better off without him.
His escape from the London Stadium might be one of the finest things that ever happened to him.
