Felipe makes his comeback from injury alongside debutant Callum Hudson-Odoi in the latest Nottingham Forest news.
Felipe, a Nottingham Forest defender, returned from injury on Tuesday evening.
The Brazilian center-back began for Forest’s under-21s in their 2-1 loss to Harrogate Town in their first EFL Trophy group game. The competition rules stipulate that under-21 teams may field two overage players.
Felipe and deadline-day addition Callum Hudson-Odoi started the game for Forest, but both were substituted after an hour. It was a chance for Hudson-Odoi to receive some playing time and an essential step in Felipe’s recuperation.

The pair might potentially be ready to make their Forest debut following the international break, when the Reds visit Burnley at the City Ground on Monday, September 18. Five days later, they travel to Premier League champions Manchester City.
Felipe was unable to play in any of the Reds’ preseason games due to a knee injury, and he scarcely exercised over the summer. He has yet to play this season but has been on the bench for the last few games.
“It was a variety of different things, different niggles,” Felipe said last month through a translator. I was diagnosed with kneecap fibrosis, which was impeding my progress. But everything has been regained and fixed.
“I had it last year.” It was the same sensation, just a little more intense. Medication and treatment would suffice.
“I made a lot of sacrifices to get on the pitch, so it was quite delicate at the end of the season.” The choice was taken to have this rest and healing period so that I would have no future concerns.”
