ANN ARBOR, Michigan: J.J. McCarthy, the quarterback for Michigan, is excited to absorb some pregame blows in Indianapolis from his coach, Jim Harbaugh. Harbaugh has served out the remainder of the Big Ten’s suspension due to a sign-stealing investigation.
“He always comes to find me before kickoff, and it happens every game,” McCarthy remarked. He emphasizes the importance of taking that initial hit, after which the butterflies simply vanish from your body. He makes every effort to mimic that.”I am eager to resume this lovely weekly tradition when I return.”

During the first almost ten minutes of his press conference on Monday, Harbaugh praised his players and assistants for their efforts in a 30–24 victory over Ohio State, a game he watched at home with his wife while serving the last game of his suspension.

“Is there anyone who could have it better than us?” Prior to his return to the No. 2 Wolverines’ sideline for Saturday night’s Big Ten championship game against the No. 18 Iowa Hawkeyes in Indianapolis, Harbaugh asked reporters.

Sherrone Moore, the offensive coordinator, replaced Harbaugh in the game against the sixth-ranked Buckeyes. He’s glad to return control.

I am so excited for the chance to see him back on the field, where the staff and players will be able to see their leader. It will become even more delicious as a result,” he remarked.

The season began without Harbaugh for the Wolverines, who ended it with the Big Ten prohibiting him from leading them at the stadium on game days against Ohio State, Penn State, and Maryland after he was suspended by the university for three games for violating NCAA regulations.

On November 17, Michigan fired Chris Partridge, the linebackers coach, one day after the Big Ten and the school came to a consensus that Harbaugh would serve out his suspension and the conference would conclude its investigation.

Partridge was fired for disobeying the school’s order to refrain from discussing the investigation with “anyone associated with the program.” Partridge claimed in a social media post on Monday that he was unaware of the alleged in-person scouting and sign-stealing scheme for which the NCAA is still looking into the Wolverines.

Despite their continued success without Harbaugh on the sidelines, Moore and the players maintain that he is missed on game days.

The return of coach Harbaugh excites me much, said running back Blake Corum. “The last three games have been long, but they have also been good.” It will help a lot to just have his excitement and pregame speeches returned, as well as his presence on the sidelines. Although we’ve managed to take care of business, it will be very special to have him back on the sidelines for the Big Ten title.

It will be fantastic. It will resemble a reunion.
