But the victory was not without a price, as several important Longhorns players were hurt, including starters DJ Campbell, Ja’Tavion Sanders, and Xavier Worthy.

All things considered, Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian’s update on those injuries on Monday during his weekly press conference was as good as Longhorns fans could hope for.

The Texas Longhorns got within one win of the Big 12 Championship game on Saturday night with a heroic victory over the Iowa State Cyclones.

However, there was a cost to the victory: starters DJ Campbell, Ja’Tavion Sanders, and Xavier Worthy were among the key Longhorns injured.

All things considered, Longhorns supporters received the best update on those injuries from Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian during his weekly press conference on Monday.

Worthy was perhaps the most notable injury for the Horns on Saturday after leaving the game in the second half and reportedly being ‘unable to put weight’ on his injured leg after the injury.

Worthy left the game with four catches on eight targets for 77 yards.

Due to a lower-body injury, Campbell was also knocked out of the game and did not come back. Cole Hutson, a former starter, took his place in the starting lineup.

In the meantime, Sanders was able to play again during the match. Even though he only had two receptions for 32 yards in the end, he was crucial to the run game and helped set the stage for C.J. Baxter to have a huge evening.
