Nottingham Forest have turned down an offer for attacker Emmanuel Dennis from Saudi Arabian club Al Taee.
Dennis, 25, is thought to be free to leave the City Ground as the Reds attempt to recuperate some of the £20 million they spent for him last summer.
Although the former Watford man is for sale, the deal for the undesired Forest man has been refused, according to journalist Rudi Galetti.
The Saudi transfer window closes tonight at 10 p.m. UK time, leaving Steve Cooper’s side with little time to strike a deal with any Saudi sides interested in the forward.
The Saudi bid for Emmanuel Dennis has been rejected.
Dennis has been mainly impressive when called upon. Cooper, on the other hand, hasn’t given him many chances to make an impact on the first team.
The forward has not been named to any Reds matchday teams this season, adding credence to rumors that Forest are willing to let him go.
Dennis is a proven Premier League player, and it’s a shame he hasn’t seen more action. He was a fixture in the Watford team, and when Forest signed him, he appeared to be an exciting addition.
Unfortunately for all parties, the deal did not go as planned, but Forest is still hoping to get a good price for Dennis.
The Reds are demanding a cost of around £10 million for the 25-year-old, but it is unclear what Al Taee were offering for the forward.
