Burnley has made a new signing. Zeki Amdouni has stated that his viral announcement video featuring the Teletubbies did not bother him.
After joining this international team for this international break, the forward spoke to SRF in Switzerland.
The striker joined Burnley in July for €18.6 million as Vincent Kompany and co splurged to enhance their team following promotion to the Premier League last season.
His entrance was publicised on social media, as with all of Burnley’s acquisitions this summer, with an elaborate and hilarious announcement video featuring a TV show or film.
The Teletubbies were chosen in his case, with the video presenting the infamous opening scene from the children’s TV show before introducing their latest signing.
To say the least, the video went viral on social media, though others questioned whether the athlete was particularly delighted to be a part of it.
He, on the other hand, claims he has no problem with it and is more focused with settling in and making his mark at Turf Moor.
“The change was effective. “It helped that many people in England speak French,” he remarked.
“The most noticeable difference is the increased intensity and toughness in the duels.” Because the participants are on different levels, the game becomes more tough.
“[The video] did not bother me as much as many people may believe. When it comes to new transfers in England, it’s all about the show. I laughed and didn’t give a damn.”
