Derrion Reid is getting closer to selecting his university of choice. The 6-foot-7, 180-pound forward from Grovetown, Georgia, is a senior at Napa (Calif.) Prolific Prep. He is still undecided about his decision between Georgia, Alabama, and Florida State.

Reid stated, “I’m trying to decide quickly, but I’m also trying to be really careful and talk about it with my family.” “Now that teams are competing, we can observe how they move, play, and assess more.”

Reid, who is ranked No. 17 in the country for the class of 2024 by 247Sports, has broken down his three finalists but is unsure if he will commit in time to sign early.

Alabama: “I was recruited by them since the Geico, and I had a good relationship with the head coach and the previous assistants before the new assistants took over and excelled.” They continued where the previous coaches had left off. Since then, we’ve had a great relationship, and I’ve been able to observe how they play and how I can blend in. They believe I can rock out and have an instant impact.

Florida State: “They recruited me because I was at TSF the previous year, and during the visit, we developed a relationship with the head coach, assistants, and players.” I grew close to them.
Georgia: “I’ve probably been there six times or more. I’ve attended a lot of football games, both official and unofficial. I developed a relationship with the players, the staff, and the head coaches. They also started after the Geico incident.

Reid has been deliberating, but commits from every one of his contenders are currently enlisting him.

“AJ (Swinton) at Florida State, Asa at Georgia, and my teammate Aiden at Alabama are all recruiting me. They all discuss visiting their schools with me.

Reid has all the information he needs to decide what the schools can and cannot do.

He remarked, “They just need to keep up with the connection at this point because they’re all doing so well.” “As for me, I think I know everything I need to know; my mom and I just need to have a conversation before we finish up.”
