Over the last ten years, the Green Bay Packers have not had many standout defensive players. Clay Matthews, a linebacker, is the first player that comes to mind. Matthews announced his retirement following the 2019 campaign. From 2009 to 2018, he was a member of the Packers, and he concluded his NFL career with the Los Angeles Rams.

One of the greatest defensive backs in Packers history, safety/cornerback Charles Woodson was a member of the Green Bay Packers from 2006 to 2012. The Oakland Raiders were the only other team he played for in the NFL.

Pittsboro, PA The Pittsburgh Steelers have announced that they will wear alternate uniforms when they play the Green Bay Packers in Week 10, bringing back the block numbers.

Many teams revealed their alternate jerseys before the season, but the Steelers didn’t, which worried a lot of fans that they wouldn’t wear them. Yes, they are, and in response to popular demand, the block numbers are returning.

The Steelers’ most successful period, the 1970s, is referenced in the jerseys. The team has now worn the uniforms four times, including in 2018, 2019, and 2022. With the substitutes on, they are 3-0.

According to linebacker T.J. Watt, “I think it’s really cool,” Steelers.com. Being able to wear the jerseys they wore has great significance, and it’s amazing to be a part of that tradition.

“We’re proud to be able to continue that legacy as Steelers players, and those guys are still very proud of what they accomplished. The genuine tradition of this organization is what sets it apart.”
