John McGinn hailed Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai after his superb goal against Aston Villa on Sunday.
The Villians skipper praised the Hungarian international on the club’s official website after Szoboszlai got the ball rolling in Liverpool’s 3-0 triumph.
It was the 22-year-old’s first goal for the Reds, who improved to three victories from four games heading into the first international break of the season.
And Szoboszlai has been a huge success for Liverpool, with the summer transfer from RB Leipzig already looking like a strong contender for the Reds’ player of the year award.
Indeed, Szoboszlai has been outstanding, and McGinn was impressed, stating, “The corner comes from us, we allow them to get the ball in the box, and it’s a terrific strike from (Dominik) Szoboszlai.”
“They have players who can hurt you and who have the ability to score goals like that.” Allowing a side like Liverpool an early lead makes for a challenging afternoon.
This season, Szoboszlai’s goal against Villa will be hard to top.
Szoboszlai has undoubtedly been Liverpool’s finest player in the Premier League this season, and his goal will be difficult to top this season.
The skill on display was nothing short of world-class, and the fact that McGinn was in awe demonstrates how excellent Szoboszlai’s performance versus Villa was.
With no signs of slowing down, Szoboszlai is proving to be well worth every penny for Liverpool this season, and the midfielder will only get better.
