It’s November now, and the Bengals are playing the Bills on Sunday night (8:20 p.m., Cincinnati’s Channel 5) at Paycor Stadium’s city of stripes. As the NFL’s hottest quarterback right now, Burrow appears to have forgotten about his strained calf, and Sunday night doesn’t seem too cold for him. Sunday is expected to be as cold as 47 degrees, which is exactly the same as Wednesday’s 45-degree practice.
Burrow responded, “I don’t think so,” when asked if the calf was affected by the cold. It’s difficult to say. Except for today, we haven’t experienced cold weather. Today, it wasn’t a problem. I don’t think there will be a problem.
The team in question is 5-3 Buffalo, a dangerous AFC force that the Bengals defeated 27-10 in Buffalo during the previous year’s AFC Divisional. Against the NFC West, the Bengals are 4-0; against the AFC, they are 0-3. Zac Taylor, the head coach, and Burrow are playing down the late conference start.
“The season plays out how it plays out. Though it’s not where we are right now, we would love to be 7-0,” Burrow remarked.The Bengals are 4-3 and not very far from the outside looking in at the postseason. Everything begins with the Bills, pauses for a home game against the 3-4 Texans, who are currently out of the picture, and then swiftly moves on to a game at 6-2 Baltimore before concluding November at Paycor Stadium against the Steelers.
“We’re going to have to beat teams like this if we’re going to get to where we’re going to get to,” Burrow stated. “It’s a great team with a great quarterback and a really good defense, a team that obviously we played in the playoffs last year and we have a chance to play again, so it’s going to be a fun one.”
