In their most recent match, City narrowly defeated 10-man QPR thanks to an outstanding goal from Winks. Speaking following the 2-1 triumph, Maresca said he had been following the 27-year-old’s career for a while and was happy to see how well the summer signing was adjusting to his new team.

“He was the first name I told the club when I met them,” he said to Leicestershire Live. Harry is an amazing player with this notion, thus he was the major player. I saw him in Italy last year, then I saw him at the Spurs. He is a terrific player, both with us and with this concept.

“If you analyse our game, Harry already arrived there many times and had a shot,” Maresca subsequently stated. Given that the opponents are within the box and the two holding midfielders are on the edge of it, you must come up with a plan from outside the area.

“I’m glad for Harry since he merits it. It’s amazing how he strives to learn every day, both on and off the ball.
