Amon-Ra St. Brown discusses missing the Detroit Lions’ Week 5 victory over the Carolina Panthers.
Amon-Ra St. Brown, the promising wide receiver for the Detroit Lions, was sidelined during the team’s Week 5 game against the Carolina Panthers. This unforeseen pause provided a chance for St. Brown to obtain a new perspective on the game and his squad.

What did Amon-Ra St. Brown have to say?
On Thursday, St. Brown discussed his decision to sit out the game against the Panthers.

“I’m grateful they did. “Because, at the end of the day, you never know what certain injuries, what can progress throughout the game, if you play or if you don’t,” St. Brown explained. “So, I despise missing games. If I could, I wouldn’t miss a single game. But, at the end of the day, the team must decide what is best for myself and the team. And it was the reason I didn’t play last week. But it’s a fresh week this week. I feel good and prepared. So, let’s see.”

“It’s tough, but I kind of figured trending throughout the week that I probably wasn’t going to play,” St. Brown told the media. “I wasn’t sure for sure, but I figured I wasn’t going to play.” But it was difficult, just being — I don’t know, you just feel disconnected from the squad. Kind of, because I’m not out there physically with them, despite the fact that I’m in meetings with them all the time. But I’m relieved to be back.”

“Honestly, I just missed hanging out with the guys and the planning.” “I feel like I missed the entire week’s preparation,” St. Brown said. “It starts after the game, you know, you’re beat up, and then boom.” And you have Tuesday off, and then you start preparing for the entire week on Wednesday.

St. Brown’s return to the Detroit Lions is a nice lift for the squad, and his viewpoint from the sidelines may just convert into a better performance on the field. One thing is certain: Lions quarterback Jared Goff will be relieved to see St. Brown return to the lineup.
