Zane Musgrove, a prop for the NRL’s St. George Illawarra Dragons, has joined the Warrington Wolves on a two-year deal beginning in 2024.
Since making his first-grade debut in 2016, the 27-year-old has played 78 times in the NRL for the South Sydney Rabbitohs, Wests Tigers, and Dragons.Musgrove participated in the 2017 World Cup for Samoa and the 2021 Maori All Stars.
When the Rabbitohs were the Rabbitohs in 2016 and 2017, the New Zealand-born prop played with Sam Burgess, the upcoming head coach of Warrington.
Musgrove said of his decision to sign with Warrington: “I’ve heard nothing but good things about the club, and I’m really looking forward to travelling to the UK.
“I’ll be working with Sam again, and that will be great because I believe he will bring out the best in me.
“I’ve been following the games and watching them, and I’ve been finding out more and more about the town and the Wire.
“The team has excellent players all around it, and I think that hanging out with them will make me my best self next year.
I’m prepared for the difficulty. I’m only 27 and believe that my greatest football is yet to come.
I intend to arrive, establish my dominance, and succeed for Warrington under Sam.
Sam Burgess is happy to welcome Zane Musgrove to the Warrington Wolves. Musgrove, a front-row player who stands 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 110 kilogrammes, will be sporting a primrose and blue shirt, and Burgess says he can’t wait to watch him do so.
Burgess expressed his excitement about bringing Zane to Warrington.
“I know what he will contribute because we previously worked and played together at Souths.
He will contribute to the Wire in 2024 and is a dedicated athlete.
Gary Chambers, the director of rugby at Warrington, continued, “Zane offers a wealth of NRL experience.
“He’s a big, athletic body that will move forward complementing our current forward pack.”

Tyrell Sloan, a fullback for the St. George Illawarra Dragons, has had his worst fears come true after suffering a serious injury during the Koori Knockout competition.
It has been established after speaking with surgeons that Sloan had surgery on Friday after sustaining a syndesmosis injury the previous weekend.
According to News Corp’s confirmation, the 21-year-old plans to begin light jogging in early December despite a recuperation period that might last up to 10 weeks and interfere with his preseason for the 2024 season.
The injury will have a significant impact on his preseason, which is awful news for Dragons supporters and authorities. A preseason that the new coach, Shane Flanagan, made clear would be the fullback’s most significant up to that point.
Sloan has had disruption from injury before this year. He missed a month of football earlier this year because of a minor calf issue.
Sloan and Zac Lomax are vying for the number one jersey at the Dragons for the 2024 season, and incoming coach Shane Flanagan has previously made it clear that he wants to give Sloan a crucial preseason.
