After Dean Henderson received a scan, Roy Hodgson provided a negative report on his injuries. Henderson is the goalie for Crystal Palace.
The £20 million transfer of the England international from Manchester United to Selhurst Park this summer saw him make his Eagles debut against his former team on Tuesday at Old Trafford, but he had to leave the game early due to a muscle issue.
On Saturday, Palace will play United at the same location in the Premier League. While goalkeeper Henderson is expected to miss some time due to injury, Hodgson can use midfielder Jairo Riedewald who had a little cramp.
Hodgson stated that “He’s had a scan.” I’m sorry to tell that the initial scan wasn’t particularly promising. In a week, he will have another scan; maybe, it will reveal slightly less damage than the previous one, but it didn’t appear to be good news.
“Since Tuesday, nothing has changed. We haven’t recovered everyone, so we’ll be sending the same group to Manchester tomorrow as we did on Tuesday.
