In connection with the alleged incidents that allegedly took place between last October and this September, 32-year-old Keng Cha is accused with first- and third-degree criminal sexual conduct, both felonies.
Police were called to Como High School in late September following a report of criminal sexual behavior, according to the criminal complaint. There, according to authorities, a female pupil aged 15 reported Cha’s unlawful sexual behavior.

From the volleyball roster, Cha allegedly obtained the victim’s phone number and started texting her. According to the lawsuit, the relationship eventually developed into illegal sexual activity.
In the lawsuit, it is claimed that Cha gave up his legal defenses and confessed to having an illicit relationship with the student while speaking with police.
Cha may spend up to 30 years behind bars if found guilty of the first-degree criminal sexual conduct allegation. He will appear in court for the first time on Monday.
The school district confirmed that Cha’s job had been terminated in a statement to WCCO, but it declined to comment further on any ongoing criminal investigations.
