The Rossoneri purchased the San Francesco neighborhood, which is part of San Donato, and earlier this week they presented their plans to the city council. Even though it’s a fantastic chance for San Donato, a portion of the community is opposed to it.
Some were already pushing for a referendum before Milan announced their plan, but San Donato Mayor Francesco Squeri promptly clarified that there cannot be a referendum in the absence of a scheme. There probably won’t be any either right now or until the council has finished reviewing the project.
The vehicle parks are the subject of the most recent absurd assertion. Milan has had to clarify that they only want to construct 750 parking places within the Parco Sud region by the stadium, as reported by Sportface. This figure is far below the 15,000 (!) parking spots that environmentalists allege the Rossoneri seek to construct.
