What was your first live game?

I’m not sure if it was my very first game, but the first one I remember well was the Celtic-Rangers New Year’s Day game at Ibrox, when I was in the away end with Celtic supporters.

Georgios Samaras scored twice; it was a fantastic day and a nice outcome, and I recall it well. I believe it was around 2011.

The goals during the Old Firm derby were insane; it’s a major game in Scotland and signifies a lot.

When they scored, the entire team celebrated with the supporters – it was complete chaos.

Who was the first football hero?

I recall wearing the Gianluigi Buffon goalie shirt at the 2006 World Cup. It was a dark, almost burgundy number with a white V at the top that I used to wear when I was younger. So, Buffon of Italy was perhaps my first hero.

What were the first football boots? It was probably a pair of Nike Tiempos or Nike T90s. I can’t remember how I felt when I first got them, but I’m sure it was one Christmas when I ripped them open and couldn’t wait to play with them in the back yard or the park.

First aid kit?

The first one I recall was right before I got the Buffon one. For the 2006 World Cup, I wore the France jersey. When you’re young, you don’t think about the teams much; you just appreciate the appearance of the strip, and I used to get a shirt whenever we went on vacation.

Is this your first professional game?

It was maybe three years ago that I went on loan to Ayr United and faced Morton. We won 3-1 or 4-1, so it was a successful start to my professional career.

This year, I made my Football League debut as a substitute for Tranmere against Rochdale. Coming on as a sub was a little odd, but I just tried to find my feet and ease myself into the game – you’ve always got to be ready because you never know when you’ll be called upon. Unfortunately, we were defeated 1-0. My first debut was against Salford at Prenton Park, and we won 2-0, so getting three points was fantastic.

What is your first professional goal?

I’ve never scored, but I’ve got a few of assists that I recall – nothing that came close to a goal. My first major save for Tranmere Rovers down here was a tough shot against Forest Green Rovers when the ball came through a mass of players and I hung onto it to prevent a tap-in.
