BATON ROUGE – LSU has officially added junior guard MiLaysia Fulwiley to its roster for the upcoming season.

“I’m thrilled to welcome MiLaysia to our LSU Tiger family!” said head coach Kim Mulkey. “She’s an outstanding playmaker and one of the most exciting talents in college basketball today. Her winning mentality has been evident throughout her career, and we can’t wait to watch her light it up at the PMAC in purple and gold.”

Fulwiley, a dynamic 5-foot-10 guard, is known for her creative offensive style. During her two seasons at South Carolina, she mostly came off the bench, appearing in 77 games and averaging 11.7 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.6 steals per game.

A key contributor to two Final Four runs, including South Carolina’s 2024 NCAA Championship, Fulwiley arrives at LSU as the reigning SEC Sixth Woman of the Year. She helped South Carolina capture the SEC Tournament title and reach the national championship, scoring 15 or more points in 14 games and leading the team in scoring eight times.

Fulwiley also made her mark defensively, tallying three or more steals in eight games, and was a strong passer, recording four or more assists in nine contests, with a standout seven-assist performance against Oklahoma.

As a freshman, Fulwiley averaged 11.7 points and 2.2 assists per game, helping South Carolina complete an undefeated 38-0 season and sweep the National Championship, SEC Championship, and SEC Tournament. She earned a spot on the 2024 SEC All-Freshman Team and was named MVP of the SEC Tournament, leading her team in scoring 11 times and scoring a career-high 24 points in the SEC Tournament final.

In the 2024 national semifinal, her four steals were crucial, and she scored seven points during a critical 11-0 second-quarter run that helped propel South Carolina to the title.

A native of Columbia, South Carolina, Fulwiley scored over 3,000 points in her high school career at W.J. Keenan and was ranked as the No. 13 overall player in the Class of 2023. She earned All-American honors from the WBCA, McDonald’s, USA Today, and Naismith, showcasing her talent with 17 points — including an 11-point burst in just two minutes — during the McDonald’s All-America Game.
