Brian Kelly and the LSU Tigers closed out Spring Camp in Baton Rouge on Thursday, but several questions still linger—especially along the offensive line.

Despite logging over 15 practices and building some chemistry with a revamped roster, the offensive line remains a key concern heading into the offseason.

Offensive line coach Brad Davis faces a critical task ahead: solidifying a starting five from a mix of returning players and promising newcomers.

While LSU has no shortage of talent in the trenches, identifying the right combination remains a top priority heading into August’s Fall Camp. The first-team unit to close Spring featured Tyree Adams (LT), Paul Mubenga (LG), DJ Chester (C), Coen Echols (RG), and Weston Davis (RT). The second team included Carius Curne (LT), Ory Williams (LG), Braelin Moore (C), Bo Bordelon (RG), and Josh Thompson (RT).

Kelly highlighted a handful of players—Mubenga, Chester, Echols, Thompson, and Bordelon—as core pieces in the mix, but reiterated that the focus isn’t on naming starters just yet.

“It’s not really about who starts,” Kelly said last Saturday. “It’s about finding the best five. Once we figure that out, we can build real continuity.”

Kelly expressed optimism about the depth on the line, but acknowledged that the true test will come in preseason camp when the competition ramps up.

Now, attention turns to summer workouts in June before Fall Camp kicks off. LSU opens the 2025 season against Clemson in Week 1—a high-stakes showdown that will demand answers up front.
