On his Here We Go podcast, Romano said that Arsenal are not simply fans of Sporting Lisbon’s brilliant center-back Ousmane Diomande. They have been fans for a while.
Ousmane Diomande of Sporting Lisbon is being watched by Arsenal
One of the most dependable writers in the league says, “I’m told he’s a player they’ve been tracking for a long time.” “But other teams are also watching him,” he said. Three or four clubs are keeping an eye on Diomande for the future.
Even though Diomande seems a tad rich for David Moyes’ blood, West Ham United (Record) may be one of those, according to rumours coming out of Portugal. It appears that Sporting would reject any offers that fell short of the Ivorian’s £70 million release clause.
Furthermore, it is far from guaranteed that Diomande would grab the nearest hold-all and hop on an Uber to the Lisbon airport, even if the aforementioned clause was activated by an Arsenal or another wealthy European superpower.
He is quite happy working for Sporting. According to Luis Cassiano Neves, Diomande’s agent, “He is very focused on the club and the goals for this season, which include winning the Primeira Liga title and improving.”
Additionally, he is aware that Sporting is the best club for this progression. The athlete will be delighted to talk contract negotiations with Sporting at the table.
Diomande, a center-half who plays the ball and stands 6 feet 3 inches tall, gained attention the following season when Sporting Lisbon eliminated Arsenal from the Europa League.
However, given that he is a right-footer by nature, it is understandable to wonder what kind of part Mikel Arteta would have for him in his schemes. Or even if one of Arsenal’s present defenders would need to make way first.
