Sky Blues defender Kyle McFadzean identifies the club’s ‘top class’ performance, according to CoventryLive.
After changing his career at the Championship club, Kasey Palmer has been tipped to be a “golden asset” for Coventry City. After joining Bristol City for £3.5 million from Premier League Chelsea in the summer of 2019, the 26-year-old struggled under consecutive managers.
During his time at Stamford Bridge, the playmaker was mentored by Adi Viveash, who had a tremendously successful ten-year stint with the Blues’ Academy and development squad. And when the opportunity to work with the coach again arose after he’d relocated to Coventry, it was simply too fantastic to pass up. Palmer is now returning to the player who showed so much promise in his childhood, with Sky Blues teammate Kyle McFadzean sure the club has a “top class” talent on its hands.
“If you’ve seen him train day in and day out, you’d understand he’s a top-class player,” the centre-half remarked. “He does some amazing things, but like I said, he’s had some niggly injuries at other clubs, and obviously he’s had a couple of niggly injuries here.”

“I think you’ll see once he’s up to speed.” Parts of it may be seen in this game since he is simply head and shoulders above some of the other players. He’s a player who, if we can develop him to his full potential, could be a valuable asset.”
Palmer took some time to get going when he initially joined last summer because he needed to improve his fitness levels, but he gradually grew into the campaign to become City’s most creative force with Gustavo Hamer. The one thing he seemed to add to his game was an incredible work-rate – something he’d been chastised for at Ashton Gate – but that, along with his remarkable technical ability, has helped him become one of the Championship’s top playmakers.
