Chris Sutton has claimed that Everton would be ‘foolish’ to sack Sean Dyche now.

Speaking on the It’s All Kicking Off! Podcast, the former striker insisted that the current Everton boss is the right man for the job.

Nine months after leaving Burnley, in January of this year, Dyche relocated to Goodison Park. The 52-year-old was expected to keep Everton in the Premier League after keeping the Clarets there for five straight years.

With a close victory over Bournemouth on the final day of the season, Dyche helped Everton keep their place in the top flight. Nevertheless, the pressure is mounting on him due to the current season’s terrible start.

The Merseyside team earned its first point against Sheffield United before the break, but other than that, they have dropped four of their first five games and are currently ranked 18th in the standings.

After some poor team performances, many fans have demanded that Dyche be fired, but Sutton doesn’t think it would be a wise move.

What anticipations did Everton supporters have at the beginning of the campaign? stated Sutton. I believe the majority of Everton supporters were aware that they would face another relegation fight.

“They didn’t spend a lot of money. Although Beto was a good addition, they were always going to have trouble. Nobody who supports Everton, in my opinion, anticipated playing in Europe.

“Everton is building slowly. They should not even consider letting Sean Dyche go. He is the ideal candidate given the situation that Everton is in.

Everton might be compelled to retain Dyche.
According to recent reports, Everton may not have much of a choice as to whether or not they decide to keep Sean Dyche because doing so could cost them a significant £4 million.

Farhad Moshiri won’t likely be willing to provide any more money while the club’s acquisition is in full motion, so they would have to wait until 777 Partners take over.

This may require the Toffees to cling onto Dyche until the end of the year at the earliest.
