Following the completion of his temporary transfer on Tuesday, the 22-year-old will play the remaining games of the 2023–24 season for the League One team.

Williams joined the Liverpool Academy at the U10 level and has since made 19 senior games for the club, all of which came in 2020–21 when he assisted Jürgen Klopp’s Reds in qualifying for the Champions League.

The center-half, who was previously on loan at Aberdeen, Blackpool, Swansea City, and Kidderminster Harriers, will now work with Andy Crosby at Vale Park to further his development.

League One’s fifteenth-place Port Vale will play their next game at home against Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday.

Robbie Williams, a singer, has not placed an offer for Port Vale Football Club, the club has confirmed.

According to a club representative, the club was made aware of articles in national newspapers and released a statement on their website outlining their stance.

They added that Williams, who is well-known for being a lifetime Vale supporter, had not placed a bid to buy the team and that no discussions had taken place over the issue.

On Saturday, the singer accepted the club’s presidency and said “let the good times roll” while complimenting co-owner and chair Carol Shanahan.

The 49-year-old Take That singer is one of the all-time greatest-selling musicians with 75 million records sold.

“Robbie and his team attended the match this past weekend, where he officially became club president and opened the suite that is now named after him,” a Port Vale spokesperson stated.

“Both Carol and Robbie are looking at a lot of good club projects, and everything they do will be done with the best interests of Port Vale Football Club in mind.

“The Shanahan family is still totally dedicated to Port Vale FC as the club’s owners.”
