The Owls have now won four of their previous five games, including three clean sheets.

Results did not go their way over the weekend, and they remain three points from safety; but, a win tomorrow may bring them level on points with Stoke, Huddersfield, Birmingham, and QPR.

Sheffield Wednesday will need Ike Ugbo to perform well again after scoring six goals in his last five outings.

The Pilgrims have also relied on their own star striker this season, with Ryan Hardie scoring 13 goals and providing four assists in all competitions. The 26-year-old has only scored once in his past five outings, although did strike against Sheffield Wednesday in the opposite meeting in October.

Hardie has been a key player for Plymouth this season, but he is now a doubt for tomorrow’s encounter at Hillsborough.

In his pre-match press conference, Plymouth manager Ian Foster stated: “Everyone is fine.”

“Everyone has completed the game. Although we had some bumps and bruises from the intense encounter, we are fine and healthy. They were in yesterday, but it was a recuperation session, so we’ll get a good assessment of Ryan Hardie today based on our tactical work on the grass and see how he performs. I believe it was merely a heavy knock, but it was quite uncomfortable for him.

If Ryan Hardie is unable to start against Sheffield Wednesday, the visitors would suffer a significant setback, since the forward has scored three goals in their last five away games.

However, the Owls will still have to deal with Morgan Whittaker, who is presently the Championship’s joint-second leading striker with 17 goals and seven assists.

The 23-year-old has nine goals in his last 14 second-tier outings, but has not scored in his last four.

Sheffield Wednesday have done admirably in defence in recent weeks and will be confident in their ability to keep him out, while Ike Ugbo and Ian Poveda must work their magic at the other end of the ground if the squad is to secure another crucial victory.
