Thomas Blackshear, an in-state wide receiver, is one prospect in the 2025 class who Smart’s staff is interested in. He concluded his sophomore season as the second-leading receiver for Benedictine, who went 13-2 and won the Peach State AAAA Championship. He ended the season with 41 receptions for 641 yards and ten touchdowns.
The 6-foot-1, 197-pound receiver transferred to Savannah Calvary Day prior of his junior season and will be the primary pass catcher for a squad that finished 13-1 last season. Blackshear’s outstanding second season drew interest from a number of major colleges, but he’s restricted his options dramatically.
