The Las Vegas Raiders now have Antonio Pierce as their full-time head coach.
Pierce gained the respect of his players following a 5-4 spell as the interim coach, which motivated them to play winning football in the last moments of the game.
Even though Raider Nation missed out on the postseason, Pierce’s culture should give them hope for the future.
Pierce’s goal now is to see his club develop into a reliable winner. The Raiders have only had two winning seasons in the past ten years and have not had back-to-back winning seasons since 2001 and 2002.
In his most recent podcast, “The Rush with Maxx Crosby,” Pierce discussed making the Raiders a regular winner with defensive end Maxx Crosby.
Pierce stated, “We have to defeat the team in red; we have to win the division first,” alluding to the Kansas City Chiefs. They have ruled for the past seven years. The snake’s head needs to be removed. 15. That must be done first. When the playoffs roll along, with our kind of play and their requisite commitment and vigour, Maxx will probably tell you that they had the option to continue playing at the conclusion of the season. Week 17 wasn’t over yet.
“We peered about, thinking, ‘That’s it? What are our next steps? We were simply loitering in the corridor, thinking to ourselves, “I guess we should go home since they’re telling us to.” These boys were determined to go. Pierce went on to discuss what he believed set him apart from other league coaches.
Maxx will probably tell you, “I pay attention. Pierce remarked, “I listen really well. “I’ve improved in that area. In my youth, I was terrible. I was the worst when I was his age.
Pierce discussed the week when Crosby was unsure whether to play against the Chiefs but ultimately took the field. If Crosby were to further his injury, he said it was his responsibility to “protect you [Crosby] from you” by restricting his time on the field during that game.
“It is my responsibility to safeguard him, put a winning product on the pitch each and every day, and devise a strategy to do so consistently.” I’m not attempting to be Milli Vanilli, and it’s not just one year. I’m not a one-trick pony. Here, we’re not one-hit wonders.
