A number of clubs have issued statements endorsing the Chiefs and the city of Kansas City.
Statements from the Steelers and Commanders said, “Our thoughts are with the victims, their families, the Kansas City community, and Chiefs Kingdom.”
Similar statements were made by the Broncos, Jaguars, Vikings, Rams, and Panthers.
The Patriots released a longer statement that said, “We are deeply saddened and our hearts break for the victims, their families, and the entire Chiefs Kingdom following the horrific tragedy and senseless violence that occurred at today’s victory parade. Today is meant to bring a city and a community together in triumph and celebration.” During this time, we will always have a special place in our hearts for the Chiefs, Kansas City, and the entire region.
In response to the horrific violence at today’s parade, the Raiders wrote that their “thoughts are with the Kansas City Chiefs and their fans.” We offer our sincere sympathies to everyone impacted by this tragic event.
“We are saddened to learn of the senseless loss of life today following the Chiefs championship parade,” the Jets stated in their statement. We are praying for the victims, their families, and the entire community of Kansas City.
The Ravens had already shared a consoling message.
