According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt has recovered from a ruptured adductor.
For the most of the season, Hunt was listed as injured on the Browns’ injury report; nevertheless, Fowler stated that Hunt was able to play with his condition, which “can sideline players for at least six to eight weeks and require immediate surgery.”
Two weeks into the 2023 season, Hunt joined with the Browns following Nick Chubb’s season-ending knee injury against the Pittsburgh Steelers on September 18.
From then on, he participated in all 15 regular-season games and ran for 411 yards on 135 runs (3.0 YPC) and nine touchdowns. The seven-year veteran also added fifteen 84-yard receptions.
The upcoming free agent has spent five of his seven seasons in Cleveland after playing his first two in Kansas City. In his career, Hunt has amassed 6,326 yards and 57 touchdowns. He also scored both of the Browns’ touchdowns in a 45-14 loss to the Houston Texans in the AFC Wild Card round.
