The transfer fee that West Brom might get at the conclusion of the 2023–2024 season has already been agreed upon.
Taylor Gardner-Hickman will not be allowed to play for Bristol City against West Bromm in their Championship match at Ashton Gate.
The 20-year-old is out on loan to the Robins for the 2023–24 campaign, but there is a view to purchase included in the agreement, and a price has already been set should Nigel Pearson use the option.
According to Birmingham Live, the cost is £1.3 million, which would net West Brom a respectable sum of money for a youngster who has graduated from their system.
Gardner-Hickman was only able to make cameo appearances for West Brom at the beginning of the season because he was out of favour.
Bristol City, in need of a right-back, decided to sign the versatile player who has so far fit in nicely. On the other hand, West Brom made a move for Spanish wing-back Pipa on the final day of the transfer window, which is likely to signify the end of Gardner-Hickman’s stay at the team considering that that was a position he was capable of playing.
Gardner-Hickman will not be available for his loan club this weekend due to a matchup with his present employers, despite the fact that everything has been agreed upon for a permanent move.
Rarely, some teams have let a player on loan from another team to compete against them, but in this case, it has not been permitted. Gardner-Hickman will have to observe from the stands but will be able to observe how his two squads perform.
