Prepare yourselves for yet another week of rumours or doubt around Tyreek Hill.

Considering the remarks made by Hill’s agent Drew Rosenhaus during his weekly appearance on South Florida TV station WSVN on Sunday night, that should be the main lesson, at the very leas.

Dolphins' Skylar Thompson named starting QB for Sunday's Wild Card game vs. Bills

Naturally, Hill did not play in the Miami Dolphins’ 30-0 victory over the New York Jets on Sunday due to a test of his injured left ankle during pregame warm-ups. This occurred six days after the injury occurred during the first half of the team’s Monday night defeat to the Tennessee Titans.

“This was Tyreek’s decision and I’m sure he weighed a lot of different opinions from his family, to his coaches, to the trainers to all the people that he works with, but ultimately it boiled down to Tyreek,” Rosenhaus stated. “And Tyreek deserves your respect because, in my opinion, he prioritised the team’s objectives over his own. Tyreek might be able to play later in the season against stronger teams or playoff teams if he misses this game, but you never know what might have happened if he had tried to play.

It was an extremely dangerous idea. I firmly believed that Tyreek and the team made the right choice by sitting out today. In retrospect, it seemed like the right choice because the team prevailed and did so comfortably. Tyreek was relieved and pleased with the outcome for the squad.”

According to team policy, which states that injured players are off limits if they don’t practise or play, Hill did not speak to the South Florida media either last week or following the game on Sunday.
