New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave is inactive for Sunday’s game against the visiting New York Giants due to an ankle injury.
Olave sustained the injury during New Orleans’ 28-6 win over the Carolina Panthers last Sunday. He has missed all three of the team’s practices this week and will sit out his first game of the season.
Olave, 23, leads the team in receptions (72), receiving yards (918) and touchdown receptions (four).
After missing the previous two games because of a thigh contusion, Rashid Shaheed, who leads the team in receiving yards (534) and touchdown catches (three), is back in action.
The Saints (6-7) also listed right tackle Ryan Ramczyk, cornerback Cameron Dantzler, quarterback Jake Haener, defensive end Isaiah Foskey, running back Kendre Miller, and linebacker Monty Rice as inactive in addition to Olave.
Parris Campbell, a wide receiver, safety Gervarrius Owens, linebacker Boogie Basham, running back Jashaun Corbin, and tackle Evan Neal were all listed by the Giants (5-8).
