During the summer transfer window, Rangers were unable to sign Egyptian international winger Ibrahim Adel from Pyramids FC.

Gers fans were perplexed by Michael Beale’s recruitment during the summer.
Rangers lost Ryan Kent before selling Fashion Sakala, meaning Beale had lost two wingers.

Rangers, on the other hand, have continued to pursue players who operate more centrally.

As a result, the Rangers appear to be extremely thin this season, and Beale is forced to try to bring back Scott Wright and Rabbi Matondo.

It is unusual that Rangers did not sign a winger, and it is now being stated that Rangers lost out on an intriguing wide guy.

Ibrahim Adel was passed over by the Rangers.
Rangers have made a move to sign Pyramids winger Ibrahim Adel, according to TEAMtalk.

Rangers reportedly held negotiations, but a deal could not be reached before the transfer deadline earlier this month.

Perhaps the Rangers will revisit this in the January window, but there is plenty of interest.

Chelsea, Newcastle United, Brighton & Hove Albion, Aston Villa, West Ham United, and Burnley all rumoured to be interested.

Add in Anderlecht and Club Brugge, as well as Russian teams interested in Adel before the transfer deadline this week, and Rangers may be in for a fight if Adel is still available in January.

Adel’s objective for the Rangers?
Adel spent time in the youth divisions of El Merreikh in his native Egypt before joining Pyramids in 2018.

The 22-year-old has already played 110 times for Pyramids, scoring 26 goals and assisting on nine occasions.

Adel has played as a striker, offensive midfielder, and on both sides and down the middle for Pyramids.

Pyramids FC director of football Mahmoud Fathallah told Kingfut last year that Adel is a ‘great talent’ with a bright future.

Adel has already won four caps for Egypt, and he is expected to earn many more as one of the country’s finest young players.

Rangers supporters would undoubtedly welcome the addition of another wide player in January, and Adel might be that player – though whether Beale is the right guy to coach him remains to be seen.
