Because of his exceptional performance in the 1-0 Scottish Premiership victory over Hearts, the Nigerian international center-back has been receiving some recognition of his own.

Along with Connor Goldson, the 35-year-old defender appears to be the preferred choice of the Belgian manager after being called up to the Rangers team by Philippe Clement.

However, it was Brighton loanee Abdallah Sima who would make headlines at Tynecastle, scoring the game’s lone goal after latching onto a James Tavernier through pass.

In a joint interview with Sky Sports following the match, Abdallah Sima and Leon Balogun praised the veteran center back in glowing terms.

Abdallah Sima, who has scored 12 goals for the Rangers this season, has been receiving a lot of attention from Leon Balogun due to his recent play.

The striker is back in the scoring column after going eight games without a goal after the birth of his daughter, and the Rangers team has definitely taken a shine to him.

Leon Balogun lavishes praise on the assailant, saying that Abdallah Sima “deserves” all of the accolades bestowed upon him.

Leon Balogun remarked, “I am glad that Abdallah (Sima) blessed us with another one.”
